Falcon's Gyre

Drew Beechum's picture
A new hop blend was released in honor of fallen brewer Glen Falconer. The American blend is oriented toward west pales and IPAs, so who am I to argue? This one is a Rye IPA.

2.0 oz Citra - Whole - added to keg portion of US-05

Yeast:

US-05
Wyeast Thames Valley II

Special Instructions / Notes:

Pulled beer from primary and into kegs, hopefully in time for SCHF. Thames Valley dropped perfectly clear. Go British yeast. US-05 keg is swampy. After 36 hours of settling time with Super Kleer, keg has gone from swampy to cloudy.

Before the fest, the beer clarified really nicely. At the Fest itself, all 10 gallons were served through a Randall in a hurry. Guess it'll need to be re-brew
