| Notes |
|
For the second year in a row, Jamil Zainasheff has won the Bird with one of his German beers, this year a Schwarzbier instead of a Weizenbock. Jamil's beer scored an average of 38.5 in the main round of judging. Jamil points out that if you don't have access to the Sudwerk Lager yeast that just about any good malty German lager yeast will do the trick as well.
