Santa Cruz stop

Definitely stop by Seabright brewery it's been around for little over 20 years.   It's an old stomping ground of mine when i lived in Aptos good beer close by the water, should be pretty cool

Oh the places to go...

On your way up I'd suggest stopping at the Firestone Walker brewery in Paso Robles. No food, but an excellent stop.

In Santa Cruz, never been so can't help much there! :)

San Francisco, how much time do you have? The Toronado is the classic cash only, looks like a biker bar, but oh god the beer selection. 21st Amendment is a great brewpub. Across the bay in Oakland is the awesomely strange Revolution.

Eureka? Looks like your only real option is Lost Coast, which isn't a bad only option.

Don't forget if you head up through sonoma on the 101 you can stop at Lagunitas, Russian River and Beer Republic super easily and of course that puts you within striking distance of Anderson Valley, Mendocino Brewing, North Coast, etc. (but.. really are those within striking distance of anywhere? :) )
