Ok Falcons - You heard Skipp talking about this at our club meeting (or if you didn't.. here's the story)
Golden Road Brewing Company is offering a chance for homebrewers to win a chance at brewing on their pilot system and becoming their GABF Pro-Am Entrant.
In order to play, you must get a special packet of secret hops. From there the rules are pretty wide open - any style, any gravity, etc.
You must have 3 bottles to the Golden Road Pub by March 31st. The brewery will then select 4 finalists to brew pilot batches in April which will then be served at Chloe's for a final round of judging. The final winner will be announced on May 31st.
BY TAKING ONE OF THESE SLOTS YOU AGREE TO BREW A BEER AND HAVE IT READY AND AT THE PUB BY MARCH 31st! If you don't, Mr. Fletcher will have some kind words for you! Do we even have to remind you that you must be a currently paid member?
"Purchasers" of these hops can pick them up from the Shop in Woodland Hills. Nancy and Sean know where they're at and will have a list.

Driving to GR?
Is anybody going to be driving down to GR to drop beers off?. I'll have them ready by the 22nd but it's a long drive from my house just to drop off 3 beers.
Extra Hops?
I got involved in the contest directly through the brewery (the MF allocation sold out quickly). Unfortunately, the brewery gave me only 10 oz of hops (not the 1 lb promised).
We brewed up a 10 gallon batch and manged to use all but 2 ounces. I am hoping to find another two or four ounces for dry hopping.
Does anyone have any extra?
I will contact the brewery if I need to, but I thought I would try the club first...
