    Normally, the first shot you take during the day is of the whole setup. But the Castaic heat seemed to scramble the photographer's brain. Here you see Ken standing at his mash tun while pulling wort into the boiler. Off to the left, you can see the red steel stand of Derek Stepanski's system.
    The Rhudes subscribe to the school of large cooler mash tuns. This 90 quart cooler can hold quite a load of malt for large scale, high gravity brewing.

Lots of folks end up using kegs as kettles, but it takes a special brewer to use a Golden Gate keg.
Just because the setup is simple, doesn't mean the beer isn't top notch.
