    Whenever you introduce something fun and different, you always end up with a problem. Everyone wants to use it. Combined with the fact that we keep running out of places to serve beer from, it turns out that it's time to make another Falcons' bar!

    Kent Fletcher took the small mobile bar box that he built for the 2005 Ventura Bus Tour and topped it with two 1970's vintage Perlick draft towers. Two homemade draft hopbacks are bracket mounted to the front of the bar to boost the visual appeal of the serving mechanism. To really catch people's attention, sets of green LEDs are installed behind the hopbacks to illuminate the contents.

The bar is designed to fit on top of 48 quart Coleman cooler. In this configuration, you can fit your two beer kegs in the cooler and inside the assembled bar. Beer is then routed directly from the kegs to the input side of the draft hopbacks. The output side is routed back inside to the towers.

During it's Oktoberfest Debut, the bar was placed on top of a picnic table and the beer was cooled via a small two circuit aluminum cold plate. The beer was routed through the cold plate and then up to the hopbacks. The first beers run through the bar were the Pliny the Unwanted on Cascade and the Pretzel DIPA by Jonny Lieberman (part inspirator for the R2-B2) on Simcoe.
