The November club meeting will be held on Sunday the 14th. Anyone who is interested in good beer and home brewing is welcome to attend. We are a friendly group of people that love beer, and we love spreading the word about it. Just bring a few bottles, growler, or keg of home brew to share with the attendees. You can talk about your beer, and receive friendly critique from experienced brewers. Learn tips and techniques too. Never brewed before? Come on by to see how to get started.
The December shop brew has been scheduled for Sunday the 20th at 8:00 am. Jeremy Raub of Eagle Rock Brewery, and a long time Falcons member, will be leading the brew crew that day for his Black Mild Ale. This beer is one of the flag ship beers that Jeremy plans to have on tap at his brewery. Those of you who went to this years SCHF at Lake Casitas were able to taste this bad boy on tap. It is delicious!
The November shop brew date has been set for Sunday the 15th at 8:00 am. Our president, Steve Cook, will be leading the brew crew. He will be brewing up an American pale ale. Think Sierra Nevada pale ale.
We have three spots open for this brew crew. You must be a current, paid in full Maltose Falcons member to participate on any brew crew. Membership will be verified prior to any notification of a spot on the crew.
The shop brew for October will be led by Kent Fletcher. He will be brewing up the annual Falcons Christmas ale, Falcon Noel. This is a pretty tasty beer to have around for the holidays.
The September shop brew is scheduled for Sunday the 20th. I will be the brew crew leader for this one. I am planning a batch of English best bitter. Think Fuller's London Pride ale. This style is a very easy drinking session ale with a nice balance of malt and hops.
The spots for this crew will be limited to 3 as a portion of this beer is for the Falcons 35th anniversary party. I would like to try to have people on this crew who have never been part of a shop brew, and have been interested in learning the all grain brewing process.
Come down to the Shop for a quick evening class in how to make the best extract beer you can. Cost is $5 with a $5 credit to your membership to the Falcons.
