Homebrewing makes the New York Times

The article: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/23/garden/home-brewing-need-a-beer-hit-th...

My take away - how incredibly awesome that homebrewing gets into the Gray Lady. Any publicity is truly well and good for the hobby. Anything to get people to think "wait, what? I can do this at home?"

My other take away - I know the author was targeting the NYT's upscale demo (The mentions that in his responses on the AHA Forum), but I worry about the impression that this and the Forbes article from early leave by focusing on the upmarket side of the hobby. Is it good for us as a whole? What does it do for the "little" guy like most of us, who simply lust after some of these gidgets while trucking along making amazing beer on our low market home made systems.

My final take away - Gary Glass only brews six times a year? Impeach him! (Ok, kidding and Gary makes a lot of mead, travels to a lot of beer things and has a young daughter to care for too)
